Senior SiteCore Developer / Technical Lead

Due to exponential growth both within the NZ and US markets we are looking for a Senior Sitecore Developer to join our talented team. The role offers a wide variety of projects and the chance to work with industry giants.  

 

The opportunity:  

As Senior Sitecore Developer you’ll be leading a newly formed team to build out Enlighten’s existing Sitecore experience. That will mean working directly with the team and the leaders of some of the most advanced businesses in the world.  You’ll work closely with project managers and clients to fully understand business and functional requirements and propose appropriate system architecture. 

You’re an expert at guiding clients to shape their ambitions as they navigate through the purchase implementation operation and maintenance of their DXP solution. You are ready to step up and showcase your ability to provide technical leadership and define and implement development processes. You have an excellent understanding of the applications and limitations of software, allowing you to formulate effective solution designs. In addition to knowing how to build applications, you have extensive working experience deploying solutions with an active user base. 

 

What you’ll be doing day to day: 

  • Mentoring and supporting team members to equip them for high quality solution delivery aligned to agreed practice standards and processes. 

  • Provide feedback on progress and performance for people and projects. 

  • Contribute to learning and development plans for practice members. 

  • Lead and consult on client projects, provide specialist guidance on the design and delivery of solutions, and support to resolve technical project challenges. 

  • Contribute technical expertise in pre-sales activities, work with Account Managers to engage with potential and existing clients to achieve successful sales results. 

  • Help identify potential opportunities within client accounts to Account Managers. 

  • Keep up to date and share trends, new developments, and technical expertise. 

  • Create and maintain standards and Practice IP. 

  • Work with Marketing and the Practice Leads to develop offerings. 

  • Develop large scale web and software solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. 

  • Analyse business requirements and communicate these to project stakeholders. 

  • Work with the development team and contribute to the development and delivery of internal projects. 

  • Maintain and share up to date knowledge of best practice and latest trends, with good understanding of when to champion adoption of new technologies. 

  • Contribute to sales activities and lead the quoting process for development projects. 

  • Coach and mentor junior team members in development techniques and provide quality assurance support. 

 

Ideally, you’ll have: 

  • 5 years’ experience in Sitecore or similar .NET CMS products such as, Sitefinity, Kentico or Umbraco. 

  • Good written and verbal English with ability to write in a client centric way. 

  • Technically savvy across a variety of systems, software and coding languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, CSS, C# / .NET). 

  • Demonstrable ability to coach and mentor others to grow technical skills, knowledge and good professional practices. 

  • Experience leading successful teams and projects. 

  • Experience working in agile and traditional development environments. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects at one time and context shift seamlessly. 

  • Ability to manage your own work effectively and build enduring client relationships. 

  • Containerisation – Docker + Azure (Ideal)

  • Knowledge of DevOps or CI/CD tools (Ideal)
