Early in 2007 Working In Ltd contacted Enlighten Designs to discuss the re-design and further development of two websites – Expo Australia and Expo New Zealand. Enlighten were then asked in 2007 to create a third and fourth website for Expo Canada and Expo UK. Working In is the parent company that runs and organizes the Opportunities Australia, Opportunities New Zealand, Opportunities Canada and Opportunities UK Expos.

The Opportunities Australia, New Zealand Canada and UK Expos are the only employment Expo’s in the United Kingdom specifically targeted to Brits who want to live and work down under. Working In wanted to have four separate websites that were specifically targeted to the appropriate markets.

It was important the Expo websites were informative, helpful and made it easy for people to register or purchase tickets for the various upcoming Expos. Furthermore, the websites needed to be completely managed by Working In staff and support the current business processes used by the organization.

The Solution

The solution is a combination of custom development and existing systems currently offered by Enlighten Designs. The Vadmin 3.0 Content Management System is employed to allow Working In staff to completely maintain all four Expo websites. The Vadmin 3.0 Banner System allows Working In staff to manage sponsors logos and track banner impressions and click throughs.

A custom system developed by Enlighten Designs is used by Working In for managing Expo information including descriptions, locations and pricing. The system also captures user information for both registrations and ticket purchases. The implementation of a Direct Payment Solution provides a real time online payment facility for international ticket purchases for any one of the Expos advertised on the websites.

Other features included in the Opportunities Australia, New Zealand Canada and UK Expo websites were visually appealing image galleries and online videos using Flash video formatting for easy viewing.

The Result

The result is four highly functional and professional looking websites that are easy to use from both an administration and website user’s point of view. The Opportunities Australia, New Zealand, Canada and UK Expo websites are all content rich with an overall impressive design. They focus on their individual target markets while still presenting a strong and consistent brand.

Working In have seamless integration between all four websites and multiple systems. The management of the Opportunities Australia, New Zealand, Canada and UK Expo websites and systems is painless and straightforward and can be performed by all staff members of Working In.
